The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure everyone is represented in our democracy. We empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy, education, and litigation at the local, state, and national levels.

We never support or oppose political parties or candidates. Instead, we take positions on issues that affect voters—positions that may align with a party or candidate at times, and diverge at others. Our focus is always on policies and measures that serve the public interest.

Help Survey Voters This Election Day!

Interested in elections, public service, or gaining hands-on research experience? The Voting

System Technical Oversight Program (VSTOP) is looking for volunteers for the November 3rd

General Election!

Volunteers will be stationed at vote centers throughout Delaware County to invite voters to

complete a brief, anonymous survey about their voting experience. No prior election or research

experience is required. Training and all materials will be provided.

Indiana’s Constitution is clear: all power is inherent in the people, and all elections must be free and equal. Hoosiers expect their legislators to serve constituents, follow the rules, and protect the integrity of our democracy. When political gamesmanship enters the redistricting process, public trust erodes.

Right now, advocates cannot take redistricting reform directly to voters through a ballot initiative. That’s why this petition calls on our duly elected legislators to uphold the Constitution — and reject any attempt to redraw legislative or Congressional districts before 2031.

Pushing Back Against Barriers to Democracy

The Fulcrum published a piece on Indiana’s redistricting debate, highlighting how single‑party dominance and noncompetitive districts weaken voter representation.
